Q1. What is WWW?

Ans. WWW is World Wide Web which is the largest collection of information on the internet. It was developed by Tim Berners Lee in 1989.

Q2. What is a website?

Ans. Website is a collection of related webpages that provide information about many things such as a person, business organisation, educational and games institutes.

Q3. What is a webpage?

Ans3. Webpage is stored in an electronic form on the computer connected to the internet.

Q4. What is a homepage?

Ans4. Every website has a main page. This is the first page which appears when you open a website. This page is called home page.

Q5. What is a hyperlink?

Ans5. A hyperlink is a link to another webpage. It is generally a text or a picture. Pointer takes the shape of a hand when moved over a hyperlink. A hyperlink text is genereally underlined and is shown in different colors.

Q6. What is URL?

Ans6. Every website on the internet has a unique address. This address is called URL or Uniform Resource Locator. Eg. https://www.google.co.in, https://www.cordova.in.

Q7. What is a web browser? Give Examples.

Ans7. Web browser is a software program which helps us to view different webites. Pictures, text, images, animation etc can be viewed in web browsers. Eg. Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Q8. What are Search Engines?

Ans8. Internet Search engines are those websites that search information for you according to the words or terms you have given. Eg. Google, Bing, Ask, Yahoo etc.

Q9. What is address bar?

Ans9. The address of the website is written in the address bar of the browser.

Q1. When do you use resize command?

Ans1. When we want to either increase or decrease the size of the image.

Q2. What is font?

Ans2. Font is the style of writing.

Q3. Name the command that gives the mirror image of the picture.

Ans3. Flip horizontal.

Q4. Which command cuts off the drawing?

Ans4. Crop option.

Q5. What is the use of text tool?

Ans5. To add text to the image we use text tool.

Q6. Write down the options you see in Image group.

Ans6. The image group contains commands to select, crop, resize, flip or rotate an image.

Q7. Write steps to crop an image.

Ans7. Step1:- Select the part of the image you want to keep, using select in the Image group.

Step2:- Click crop in the image group. The selected part gets cropped.

Q8. How do you flip a picture vertically?

Ans8. Step1:- Select the image using Select option in Image group.

Step2:- Click rotate in the image group. A drop down list appears with different options, select Flip vertical option.
